The sun isn't always shining in Seattle. But when it does, you need to take advantage. What better way to spend a summer evening than relaxing at a rooftop bar?
Head over to Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails, which is located on the fifth floor of the Motif Hotel in the central business district of Seattle.
While rooftop bars tend to be classy, Frolik manages to blend sophistication with fun and energy. The rooftop comes complete with a ping pong table, shuffleboard, and a designated "Director of Fun." If you aren't misbehaving yourself enough, perhaps you'll be encouraged!
Frolik is open for much of the day and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the week. During the weekend, brunch replaces breakfast and lunch (as you might imagine). The food has a northwest flavor to it, and the menu has options such as salmon, clams, and halibut.
The cocktails are on the pricy side, but you can think of it as an investment in the view. You can relax with your premium beverage on one of the many couches. If it's a bit chilly, take a seat next to one of the fireplaces.
If you're feeling fancy, you can select a drink from the "Millionaire's Menu," which apparently has cocktails with a price tag of over $100. Maybe just keep yourself to one.
Over the summer, Frolik hosts concerts on the rooftop every other week for prices as low as $5. The low prices for music can offset the drink prices and you can have a wonderful evening and watch the sunset over Seattle.
