Pacific Beach

Developed between 1886 and 1888 by D.C. Reed, A. G. Gassen, Charles W. Pauley, R.A. Thomas, and O.S. Hubbell, Pacific Beach is an exciting neighborhood to live or visit because of its unlimited options for entertainment. Known as P.B. by the locals, this place has its own magic. Weather-wise, it has the perfect temperature year-round because it doesn’t get too hot or too cold. It is ideal for a day on the beach. Whether you want to swim or just want to lay in the sand, make sure to be ready for a relaxing time accompanied by the sounds of nature.

Known for surfing, P.B. offers the opportunity to learn how to surf with calm or rough waves at the San Diego Surf School. The lessons can be private or group and their mantra are that no matter what is your level, they will make surfing your favorite thing to do. It is located a few blocks from North Pacific Beach and the prices can go from $59 to $94 for about an hour and a half. However, if you would like to buy a package of surf lessons, you will definitely save some money.
